The Build
This 2007 Subaru Forester XT Limited came to us with one goal: extract every bit of performance the platform had to offer. The result is a thoroughly built turbocharged street machine with upgraded fueling, forced induction, and supporting mods to keep it reliable under boost.
Forced Induction & Breathing

The centerpiece of this build is a VF48 Turbo Swap, stepping up from the factory unit for significantly improved spool and top-end power. Supporting the turbo swap, we installed a Mishimoto Top-Mount Intercooler (TMIC) for better charge cooling and a GrimmSpeed Turbo Heat Shield to protect surrounding components from heat soak.
Airflow improvements include a K&N High-Flow Air Filter and a TGV (Tumble Generator Valve) Delete — removing a known restriction in the Subaru intake path that robs power and causes carbon buildup.

Boost Control
Boost is managed by a Perrin 3-port Electronic Boost Control Solenoid (EBCS), giving precise, consistent boost pressure control across the RPM range — a critical upgrade when pushing beyond factory boost levels.
Fueling

To support the increased airflow and boost, fueling was upgraded with 1000cc DeatschWerks Injectors and a 255LPH DeatschWerks Fuel Pump — ensuring the engine is never starved for fuel under hard acceleration.
Exhaust

A TurboXS 3-inch cat-back exhaust and downpipe round out the build, freeing up backpressure and giving the car an aggressive, purposeful exhaust note worthy of everything under the hood.
Reliability & Supporting Mods
Performance builds are only as good as their weakest link. To address known Subaru EJ engine vulnerabilities, we completed a Torque Solution Cylinder 4 Coolant Mod — a widely recommended fix for the EJ25’s cylinder 4 cooling weakness — and installed a Perrin Master Cylinder Brace for improved brake pedal feel and firewall rigidity.

The Result
A streetable, well-supported Subaru performance build done right — with upgraded turbo, fueling, intercooling, exhaust, and reliability mods all working together. This isn’t a one-mod wonder. It’s a thought-out build from intake to exhaust.
